In 1997 after he studied at International College of Music - Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, he went to Berklee College Of Music - Boston and took his scholarship for Jazz Composition Major. and he also changed his instrument from guitar to bass. After that andez moved to Harlem New York and he got busy with gigging at most small clubs around Manhattan, Brooklyn & Jersey, playing with 5 different bands. Then he found his turning point when his co worker at Penang Bar - SOHO, his friend got him to listen to Naked Music Recording, Miguel Migs, Blue Six, Master At Work and Jazzanova.

From there he keeps exploring with many elements in terms of creating patterns of his musical productions. Working with his college friends then he released his first single and moved back to Indonesia to form SOVA. SOVA got elected for MTV INDONESIA Exclusive Artist of The Month in 2004. The Duo Producer & Musicians - Edward Andez & Lawrence Aswin are the trendsetter of Nujazz Musicians in Indonesia.
